1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to MeditationPal! By downloading, installing, or using the MeditationPal application ("App" or "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Service Description

2.1 Features

MeditationPal is a meditation companion app offering:

• Built-in ambient sounds for meditation (Rain, Ocean, Birds, Stream, Fire)
• Silent meditation timer with customizable durations
• Audio import support (MP3, M4A, WAV)
• Audio streaming from URLs
• Apple Health integration for mindful minutes tracking
• Meditation session history and statistics
• Background audio playback

2.2 Nature of Service

• A personal wellness tool
• All data stored locally on your device with optional iCloud sync
• No social networking features
• Completely free with no in-app purchases

3. Eligibility

• Must be 13+ to use the App
• Ages 13-18 require parental/guardian consent
• Users must have the legal capacity to accept these Terms

4. User Content

• Users may import their own audio files into the app
• Users are responsible for ensuring they have the right to use imported audio content
• Users retain ownership of their imported content
• All data remains stored locally on the device

Users agree not to:

• Reverse-engineer or tamper with the App
• Bypass security protections
• Use the App for unauthorized commercial purposes
• Distribute malware or disrupt services
• Import or stream copyrighted audio without proper authorization

7. Intellectual Property

• The App and all components are owned by us and protected under copyright and trademark law
• Users are granted a limited, non-transferable, personal license for non-commercial use only
• "MeditationPal" and associated logos are our trademarks
• Built-in ambient sounds are licensed for use within the app only

• We strive for reliable service but cannot guarantee 100% uptime
• iOS 18.0 or higher is required
• We may update, modify, or remove features from time to time

10. Disclaimers

• The App is provided "as is" without warranties
• Users bear all risks of use, including data loss
• Streamed audio content from external URLs is accessed at users' own risk

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• As the App is free, our maximum liability is limited to the extent permitted by applicable law

12. Termination

• Users may stop using the App or delete it at any time
• We may suspend or terminate service for violations, abuse, or legal reasons

13. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

• Disputes will first be addressed through good-faith negotiation
• If unresolved, disputes may be submitted to arbitration or local courts depending on jurisdiction
• These Terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms with 30 days' notice. Continued use after changes indicates acceptance.

15. Miscellaneous

• These Terms, along with the Privacy Policy, form the complete agreement
• Invalid provisions do not affect the rest of the Terms
• Failure to enforce a provision does not waive our rights
