Focus & Time

Focus Train

A Pomodoro timer that feels like a journey

21 updates since May 2026
About Focus Train →
  1. v7.4

7.4 is here, and this time the trains keep real timetables.

Real running times: a 15-minute hop is a 15-minute ride, and Beijing to Shanghai takes four and a half hours. Step off a long ride part-way and finish it in a later sitting. Prefer the old fixed lengths? Switch back to Classic on the Timetable.

A new Timetable: turn the dial to a length and see every train that runs about that long. Can't decide? Tap shuffle for a random one.

A window on the trackside: masts, wires and signals rush past at track level, and the scenic photos double to 28. Free riders can preview the window seat and ride it once on us.

Board from Apple Watch: pick a train on the watch's departure board and it leaves right away.

Trends now reads in chapters, and Premium adds a note from the conductor on how you focus.

The train on the Dynamic Island and Lock Screen wears your livery, and countdowns past an hour show in full.

260+ new cities across Europe, Japan, the US, Russia, India and China. Liquid Glass throughout, and a new quarterly plan.

    All aboard!

  2. v7.3

7.3 is here, and this time the train rides on your wrist.

Apple Watch, redesigned: raise your wrist to see where the train is on the line, how long is left and when it pulls in, then hold or resume the ride right from the watch. Turn the Digital Crown for your ticket and your last 7 days of focus; your wrist gets a gentle tap when you arrive.

Watch face complications: put Focus Train on your watch face and the countdown keeps running without opening the app. Between rides, it shows today's focus minutes and your streak.

Made for iPhone Duo: everything looks right open or folded, with pages, sheets and buttons kept clear of the fold.

We also fixed the Apple Watch countdown carrying on after you held the train on iPhone.

    All aboard!

  3. v7.2

7.2 is here, and this time you get the window seat.

Sit by the window: choose Window during a ride and the real line rolls past outside in 3D. Pick a simple, porthole or carriage frame; where there's no satellite imagery, the window shows photographed scenery instead.

Choose your locomotive: Electric, Intercity, Diesel and Steam join the Classic, in your own livery.

Short hops from big cities: the major stations now have 25-minute commuter rides too.

On iPad, the window opens wider in landscape, and the tab bar now sits along the top.

We also fixed an occasional freeze when switching window styles.

    All aboard!

  4. v7.1

7.1 is here, and this ride comes with sound.

Departure and arrival: a platform melody or a door chime as the train pulls out, and a call as it pulls in — or pick your own audio from Files.

You'll be told when you arrive: keep the phone locked and you won't miss it, the train lets you know when it's time to collect your ticket.

Stops along the way: longer rides now call at the real stations down the line.

A whole Home Screen page: ten trains at a glance, each one a tap from departing.

Ask Siri to board: start a trip, check how far it has to go, hold at a signal, or roll again.

Seats and carriages are free for everyone now — and share a ticket once for an extra ride.

    All aboard!

  5. v7.0

7.0 is here, and this ride is on a brand-new train.

Journey Map, rebuilt: every line you've ridden on one map, replayed ride by ride, and it opens right where you are.

Pick a companion: choose who rides with you — an emoji, or a cut-out from a photo.

Trends, redesigned: a service report for the day, week, month and year, stamped like a ticket.

Write down how it went: a note and a rating at every arrival, kept on your ticket.

Plus more home-screen widgets, smoother rides, and more routes across the map.

    All aboard!

DuePal

A live countdown to the next thing

13 updates since Dec 2025
About DuePal →
  1. v4.3
    • A fresh glass look. On iOS 26, the home cards and the screens for creating and editing dues and countdowns now use clear Liquid Glass, tinted by your theme color.
    • Pick any theme color. Beyond the 12 presets, choose any color you like, and it follows you to widgets, the Lock Screen, the Dynamic Island and Apple Watch. (Premium)
    • Settings, tidied up. Alerts & Sounds, Calendar & Holidays and Countdowns each have their own page, so what you want to change is easy to find.
    • Premium now comes as a monthly plan too, if you'd like to try it for a month first.
    • New in Settings: Request a Feature. Tell us what you'd like in a review. We read every one.
  2. v4.2
    • DuePal is now on iPad. On the big screen your clock and your dues sit side by side, and the clock grows with the screen, upright or sideways.
    • Ten clock faces. Four are new: Nixie tubes, LED digits, 8-bit pixels and a big stacked clock. The others are redrawn too, and the flip clock now has real flip cards.
    • Changing faces is easier. Tap the arrows under the clock, or tap its name to see every face running live and pick one.
    • Your Lock Screen and Dynamic Island now dress in the face you picked, the whole card, not just the numbers. When a due is days away, the Dynamic Island shows hours, minutes and seconds if they fit, and hours and minutes if they don't.
    • Made for iPhone Duo. Unfolded, your dues sit beside today's timeline; stood half open on a desk, DuePal becomes a big desk clock.
    • New in Settings: choose the day your week starts on, and keep the screen on while DuePal is open, always or only while charging. Settings now take effect the moment you change them.
    • Countdowns past 100 hours shrink to fit instead of wrapping onto a second line.
  3. v4.1
    • Dues can now wait for a specific day. Leave the repeat days empty, turn on "On a Date" under the time, and pick the day it should ring. Plan a few days ahead and DuePal reminds you right on time.
    • Buttons like Delete Due now respond across the whole row, not just the text.
    • Fixed a crash that could happen at launch after updating from an earlier version.

Thank you to the user who wrote in. This feature came straight from your suggestion.

  4. v4.0

DuePal is now free to download!

    • The free version gives you one due and two custom countdowns, with the Live Activity and Dynamic Island included.
    • New DuePal Premium: unlimited dues and countdowns, Ring as Alarm, automatic public-holiday skipping, Apple Watch, and every clock style and color. Subscribe weekly or yearly (the yearly plan starts with a 3-day free trial), or buy it once.
    • Already bought DuePal? Every Premium feature is unlocked for you automatically, for good. You don't need to pay again. Thank you for your support!
  5. v3.3

    A big update:

    • Dues now hand over on their own: set the times of your day once and lunch, clocking off and bedtime count down one after another.
    • New Countdowns tab: the weekend, payday, the next public holiday, birthdays and trips.
    • Public holidays for 20 countries and regions — weekday dues skip them automatically.
    • A new Apple Watch app with complications, plus Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets, a Control Center control and Siri.
    • On iOS 26 and later, dues can ring like a system alarm, even in Silent mode.
    • Six clock styles, twelve color themes, routine templates and quick timers.
    • Fixed a countdown that could stall past midnight or over a weekend.

3ThingsPal

Focus on what matters

23 updates since Oct 2025
About 3ThingsPal →
  1. v6.6

Our biggest update since 6.5 — your three things, looked after from morning to night.

    • A new Today screen: it greets you by name, shows three open slots at a glance, and fills with a tap.
    • Didn't finish yesterday? Leftovers wait at the top of today. Bring them over or let them go — your call.
    • All three done? Close the day with one line, share a card, and plan tomorrow's three tonight.
    • Evening check-in: tick off what's still open right from the notification.
    • New Day Starts At: set it as late as 6 AM, so a late night still counts as today.
    • Later (Premium): park what doesn't fit today and pick it up when a day has room.
    • Trends & Search (Premium): completion rate, streaks, a six-month heatmap, and search across every thing and day note.
    • Tick things off right on the Home Screen widget (Premium), and add a thing from Control Center.
    • A new welcome: name yourself, write today's three, pick a color and icon, then press and hold "I Commit".
    • Liquid Glass on iOS 26, custom theme colors, and text that follows your Dynamic Type size.
  2. v6.5

    Siri finally understands your things.

    • Just say "Complete the gym one," "Move the email reply to tomorrow," or "What are my things today." Your things also show up in Spotlight. On iOS 27, Siri can act on what's on screen ("complete the second one") and pick up the conversation across your iPhone and Watch.
    • Drag to reorder today's things — the order syncs to your widgets, Apple Watch and iCloud.
    • History calendar: swipe between months, tap the title to jump back to today, and see a streak badge for consecutive fully-completed days.
    • Fixed calendar dates not lining up with the days of the week (thanks for reporting!), and the weekday header now follows your language.
    • Widgets, the Live Activity, Apple Watch and daily reminders now follow your app language.
    • Adding a thing feels smoother, and it's saved the instant you tap Done.
    • Fixed history disappearing after a language change in some regions (e.g. Thailand, Saudi Arabia) — existing data migrates automatically.
    • iCloud now syncs only what changed — faster and lighter.
  3. v6.1–6.4 –

    4 small bug-fix releases.

  4. v3.2

You can now check off tasks after the fact! Open any past day in your history and tap a task to mark it done — or undo it. No more worrying about forgetting to check things off on the day itself.

  5. v1.6–3.1 –

    10 small bug-fix releases.

Plants

Fern

A growth journal for plant collectors

50 updates since Dec 2025
About Fern →
  1. v1.56

This update is all about making Fern steadier and smoother.

We fixed a few frustrating issues: after pinching to change the number of columns on Home, tapping a plant could stop opening it until you restarted the app — that's fixed. Occasional crashes when opening a plant page or Fern Wall on iOS 18, and when opening the camera without camera access, are fixed too, and launch is more reliable.

Adding a plant now comes with a quick guide, a smoother input sheet, and faster photo loading.

  2. v1.55

Fern is on Apple Watch! See which plants need water or feeding today right on your wrist and log care with a tap. Complications, Smart Stack and a Control Center button keep it close, and a shortcut can water everything that's due in one go.

New: Staghorn Q&A with AI. Premium members can ask any staghorn care question and get answers drawn from our curated growing notes — with multiple chats, history, and a thumbs-down to tell us when an answer misses.

Ready for the new iPhone Duo: open it up for four plants per row on Home, a two-page plant view with the profile on one side and the growth log on the other, and layouts that keep clear of the fold.

Care reminders on Home are more compact and color-coded by care type, and coming back from a plant page keeps your place in the list. On Fern Wall, select several plants and share all their profiles at once. Plus smoother zooming in the photo viewer and other fixes.

  3. v1.54

Siri and Spotlight now know your plants. Search a plant's name or scientific name in Spotlight to jump straight to it. Ask Siri "which plants need care today", "when did I last water it", "show me a random plant" or "open Fern Wall" — you'll get an answer right away, and can log the care in the same breath.

The home screen gets a bottom tab bar: alongside Home, add up to three more tabs (Batch Care, Fern Lab, Fern Stats or Settings) and change them anytime in Settings › Appearance. The "+" button has moved to the top right, and filter and sort now live in the "More" menu, leaving the toolbar cleaner.

Widgets support the new full-page extra-large portrait size on iOS 27 — Random Plant and Fern Wall can fill an entire screen.

  4. v1.53

Fern Wall is now free for everyone — arrange your plants into a wall, drag them around, and add notes and text.

Batch actions feel better too: finishing one action no longer drops you out of multi-select, so your selection stays put for the next one.

We've also fixed a handful of issues and polished the experience along the way.

  5. v1.52

This update makes editing in bulk actually pleasant.

Select multiple plants on the home screen and tap Edit Fields to change 14 fields at once — group, species, growth stage, acquisition date, price and more. After applying, you land back on the field list, ready for the next one. Group pages and drill-down lists now support multi-select, Select All and batch actions too, and Select All after filtering only picks the plants you filtered for.

We also fixed memberships occasionally dropping after a brief network hiccup, and moved Growth Replay into the More menu for a cleaner photo viewer.

Pin your favorite plants to the top within groups for quick access. iPad landscape layout further improved. Backup & restore now fully supports Live Photos. Plus several crash fixes for a smoother, more stable experience.

  12. v1.25

Live Photo support: you can now capture Live Photos when recording, and play them back in the photo detail view for a more vivid experience. Live Photos are also marked in the collage picker.

Optimized long image sharing: exported long images are now smaller in file size for faster sharing.

  13. v1.24

A helpful "landscape photos look better" hint now appears when adding photos, so you can capture better shots for your records.

You can now save photos directly to your photo library from the full-screen image viewer.

YumPal

Your food memory journal

40 updates since Jan 2026
About YumPal →
  1. v3.5

    Bug fix

  2. v3.4

    Your meal times, your hours.

Eat breakfast late and watch it get filed as an afternoon snack? Yum used to name each entry from fixed hours. Now those hours are yours to set.

Go to Settings → General → Meal Times. Tap any meal to rename it or change when it starts, use the plus button to add your own — Brunch, Late Night, whatever fits your day — and swipe to delete the ones you don't need. The last meal carries over past midnight, so your whole day stays covered. A "Right now" line shows which meal the current time falls into, so you can see the effect as you edit.

Free for everyone. Your existing entries keep their names — the new windows only apply going forward.
