This page stops at zero

DuePal keeps going to the next thing

  1. This page counts to one time. When it reaches zero, you set the next one yourself.
  2. DuePal holds the times your day is built on. Set stand-up, lunch and pickup once. When one arrives, the countdown moves on to the next by itself. Two dues are free.
  3. It stays in sight without a tab open. Widgets on your Home Screen and Lock Screen are there to glance at, and Premium adds the Live Activity, the Dynamic Island and Apple Watch.

A time, not a length

Most online timers ask how many minutes you want. This one asks when the thing happens. Stand-up at 9:30 stays at 9:30, however late you opened the page, and the numbers show what you have left. That’s the idea behind DuePal, and why a countdown can help when a clock doesn’t: it says how long you have, not what time it is.

If the time has already gone today, the countdown runs to tomorrow, and the line under the numbers says so. Add a date to count further ahead.

Using it as a clock on your desk

Open it on a spare screen, tap Full screen, and plug the device in. The page asks the browser to keep the screen awake while it counts. If yours doesn’t allow that, change the screen timeout in your device settings. Our guide to turning an iPhone or iPad into a desk clock covers that, and how to avoid burn-in on a screen that stays on for hours.

Questions

Is it free?

Yes. There’s no sign-up, and your countdown stays in this browser. It holds one countdown at a time.

Does it keep running if I close the tab?

It picks up where it should when you open the page again, but this page can’t alert you while it’s closed. Browsers can also slow background tabs, so the sound can arrive late unless the page is in front. The DuePal app’s reminders don’t depend on a page staying open.

Why didn’t it make a sound?

Browsers only let a page play sound after you’ve tapped it. If you reloaded during a countdown, tap anywhere once before it ends.
